When I set a goal for myself, and I get determined, I always seem to come out on top eventually. I just didn’t think it would happen this quick! 
Yup. There she is. My 5th Platinum Trophy on the PS3. For those that don’t know, trophies on the PS3 are like achievements on the XBOX360. This is my 5th one, and it was the Platinum for Tomb Raider: Underworld. However, this wasn’t just my 5th platinum. It was also my
500th TROPHY!
Using a little math and skill, I set it up that way on purpose. I knew exactly how many trophies were in each of the games I was playing, so that #500 would be the 5th platinum and from Tomb Raider. I mean, there was no way I was going to let #500 be from a crapy game (that’s right Hanna Montanna, I am looking at you!……lol).
So lets take a look at the games and trophies that got me to this point. 263 total trophies, across 14 games since 11/14
First, the 4 games I got 100% on, and of course my 4 platinum trophies:
(Left To Right) Trivial Pursuit, Hanah Montanna: The Movie, Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs, & Tomb Raider Underworld.
The rest of my trophies came from the various 10 other games:
Lego Rock Band, Band Hero, Batman Arkham Asylum, Bejewled 2, Burnout Paradise, 007: Quantum Of Solace, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, SingStar, Tekken 6, & WWE Legends Of WrestleMania
When it was all said and done, I knew that I needed 20 more trophies to comple Tomb Raider, and set it up, so that I would be at 480 when I went for them. Making my 500th trophpy also the 5th Platinum.
Wow. Seriously? 263 Trophies in one fucking month? I don’t know about you, but I consider that to be hard core gaming! Remember, I started the climb from 237 to 500 on 11/14. A month ago. Wow. Just wow.
So with that said, I have set the 2010 goal at 1,000 Trophies / 10 Platinums. If I work it like I did with these, I will far surpass that in no time.
And as for the haters who have already sent a few messages my way…….. suck it! Hannah Montana sucked, but Ice Age was a blast!! We are buying it soon. But none the less, trophies are trophies. I will take them whatever way I can get them.

You bet that was hardcore gaming. I was starting to wonder when my life insurance checks were going to come in the mail….beings as I was a game widow and all. LOL
I am very very proud of you. I watched all the hard work you put into all of those games…even the ones that weren’t particularly difficult, but that just took a lot of willpower to just keep doing them over and over and over till you got them….(i.e. a billion TV questions with maps that suck, and a certain little horse trail that you had to ride over and over and over….).
Ice Age was particularly fun to watch. I can’t wait to play it myself, when we eventually buy it.

I forgot all about the horse trail mini-game. That shit was so boring. Glad I only had to do it 10 times for the trophy. Any more than that, I would have quit playing.
The Hannah Montana game was just for easy trophies, and that’s all it was. I got them and moved on. But Ice Age was a total surprise! One of the best Platformer games I have played in quite sometime, and for a movie based game, it didn’t feel rushed like all the other movie games. It was a real quality game, that was fun and easy for kids, yet still in some places challenging for the hard core gamers (Stupid Pterodactyl Challenge……..lol)
Over all I am very happy with this accomplishment. I look forward to getting started on 501 - 1,000 & my 6th Platinum. I see some easy ones coming my way soon to get me started.

And, don’t listen to the haters. They just wish they were as comfortable having fun collecting trophies and playing games you like as you are. Do you thinks I’m a failure because I go home to Starla at night? Forget about it. LOL
Besides, you’ve beaten Britney’s Dance Beat and Spice World already, so you were just working on the “Trifecta of Games ChunksTM Wouldn’t Touch in a Million Years!” Trophy…just kiddin’

I am doing good. Just staying busy with work, spending time at home, and just chillaxing……lol
I plan to write a more personal ‘Rob’ blog soon, and as an FYI, I will continue to make those type of blogs private (password).
Gaming is what I do, and I was excited about my achievements.
